Modern information and communication technologies play a fundamental role in the activities of an organization like Maple Grove United Church and enable us to conduct activities such as fund-raising events over the Internet.

For the purpose of these events, such as the Annual Maple Grove Fertilizer Sale, information about individuals may be collected for use in the administration and promotion of the event.

  1. This website is the website of Maple Grove United Church, 346 Maple Grove Drive, Oakville, Ontario L6J 4V5, 905-845-5721, mguc@cogeco.net. Maple Grove United Church is a congregation of the United Church of Canada.

  2. Visitors can access and browse this website without disclosing personal data. Any personal information solicited on the website will be solely for the purposes of organizing congregational activities or processing customer orders in fund-raising events, and for advising past customers of the next year's event. We will not divulge, disclose, distribute, rent or sell customers' personal information to any third party, nor will we use it for any other purpose than that just stated.

  3. Online payment processing is handled on behalf of Maple Grove United Church by InternetSecure Inc., which collects credit-card holder information for the purpose of processing transactions.   4. Customers of fund-raising events will have the ability to choose not to receive information about the next year's event, and if they so choose, the customer's data will not be stored in the database.

  5. Information is not solicited from minors. Any information that we discover to have been gathered from a minor without the consent of a parent or legal guardian will be deleted.

  6. All reasonable steps will be taken to protect customer data from theft, accidental disclosure, data corruption or loss.

Anyone with concerns or questions regarding this statement or the collection of personal information, or with a request to have personal information changed or removed, may contact the church by emailing the church office at mguc@cogeco.net, or by calling the church at 905-845-5721. Information will be removed on personal request if proof of identity can be provided.
