Where the soul finds comfort
in the sharing of sorrow
"For everything there is a season, and a time for every matter under heaven:
a time to be born, and a time to die;
a time to plant, and a time to pluck up what is planted;
a time to kill, and a time to heal;
a time to break down, and a time to build up;
a time to weep, and a time to laugh;
a time to mourn, and a time to dance. . ."
(Ecclesiastes 3: 1-6)
Sorrow comes to us all, and grief is part of the pageant of living. But that does not make sorrow or grief less painful or any easier to bear.
It is perhaps at the time of sadness that we realize our need for community the most. Maple Grove is a community of caring people who reach out to and support one another, and who reach out into the community to show the compassionate embrace of God's love.
If you are experiencing a time of great sorrow, please know that we stand with you, and that we are ready to help you in your time of grief. If you have lost a loved one and would like to talk with Rev. Dr. Morar Murray-Hayes about a funeral or memorial service, or any aspect of your sorrow, please contact the
church office.

Funeral Service Planning Guide. You may view, print or download the
PDF version.
Advance funeral planning can be very helpful to families for whom the deceased has left information or instructions regarding a service. Therefore we have also provided a document to help you with thinking in advance about the kind of service your loved ones could hold for you. The
